Welcome to the new look of our bi-monthly newsletter!  Now that we no longer print our newsletter, we can send it directly to you in your e mail.

It's our way of making it easier and faster for you to know about all that's going on here at Jubili Beads & Yarns®.  As always, you can get from here to the web site by clicking the buttons on top...go to the CLASS SCHEDULE BLACKBOARD or CALENDAR PAGE, where you'll be able to look for the classes you'll be sure to want to take.

The first week of March is already over, and soon, we'll be returning to our "Summer Hours", where we'll be open on Wednesday evenings until 9 pm.

As usual, new inventory is always coming out, and you'll want to come in often to get the best of it!  We have thousands of great enamel charms, great for kids and adults, chock full of animal, hobby and other fun designs.  Our Swarovski crystals collection is every-expanding, with boxes of VINTAGE styles coming out soon!  More sterling silver chain just arrived, and we've brought down our wonderful collection of costume-style chains as well.

Classes Galore!

I am happy to report that our new series of Metal Smith Jewelry-making workshops has become a huge hit!  Taught by Helen Driggs, Managing Editor of Jewelry Artist, (formerly known as Lapidary Journal)...

                                                         

... we will soon be welcoming two other talented gals;  Amanda Olsen of Amanda Elizabeth designs, and Sharon Schachte. 

All talented metal jewelry artists in their own right, each will bring wonderful projects to you, while teaching you the basics of tools, metals, and design.  Click here to take a look at the wonderful class projects that are available for sign-up right now. 

Slowed down by a glitch in the studio gas and oxygen equipment, soldering and glass bead-making classes are, unfortunately, on hold for now.  But I'm working on it!  Watch your e mails for news of when the equipment is up an running again. 

Jubili to host a PMC Certification Class

For those of you itching to get into PMC (precious metal clay) in a big way...this might be the class for you!  Given by Rio Grande and taught by the fabulously talented Chris Darway, an official Rio Grande PMC Certification workshop will take place here at Jubili from Friday through Sunday, June 12-14th.  Chris, the current President of the Philadelphia Guild of Goldsmiths, is one of the country's foremost metal smith/jewelry artists and PMC experts.  I certified with Chris, so can tell you that he's a great instructor, and a heckuva nice guy!  If you're interested, make sure you have enough PMC experience under your belt, as this is NOT a beginner's class.  Need more experience?  Then take the PMC with Judy series that we give once a month!
